Empowering Refugees with Training and Opportunities in the Creative Field
The creative landscape of Europe has taken a significant stride forward! We recently witnessed the successful kick-off meeting for the Erasmus+ project titled "Inclusive Design Hub" (Pr. No: 2023-1-DE02-KA210-VET-000124768). As a part of this groundbreaking initiative, we're elated to underline our commitment to fostering the inclusion of newcomers in Europe's Cultural and Creative Sector (CCS).
Thanks to our partner, Budakov Films, we've gleaned profound insights into the project's core facets. The paramount goal is to bridge knowledge gaps in pivotal areas such as Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), their application in the CCS, contracting, media law, and compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Primarily, the spotlight is on freelancers in the graphic design realm and job seekers in the CCS who are refugees.
At the heart of this venture is a comprehensive training program, not only imparting knowledge but also providing guidance to facilitate these individuals' integration into the CCS. Through a blend of in-person and online modules, topics like IPR, contracting, GDPR compliance, and crafting competitive job applications and portfolios are covered.
The "Inclusive Design Hub" isn’t just about education and training; it aims for the ultimate goal of establishing a workplace within the CCS that’s inclusive and diverse. This meeting marks the onset of a journey that holds the potential to revolutionize Europe's cultural sector.
